Payment Information
The Laconia Schools use MealTime to handle meal accounts. This system allows you to add money to your child's meal account for use at any time in the future. Funds are only debited when a purchase is actually made. Checks are welcome and should be made payable to "Laconia School Food Service", NOT the specific school your child attends. Please note, however, that in the event of a check returned for insufficient funds, the City of Laconia imposes a $25 fee per occurrence.
Meal accounts are debit, not credit accounts, meaning that there must be sufficient funds available to cover purchases. Balance statements are emailed or sent home regularly. You may also check account balances, transaction history or make payments online using MyMealtime. There is a $25 minimum online deposit, but this may be split between all children in the district. You may also send checks or cash to your child's school. We provide an envelope at the elementary schools for this purpose, and you may download a formatted envelope template at the bottom of this page and print it on a regular envelope.
Please do not allow your child's account to become negative. Although we do so as a last resort, we reserve the right to suspend service to students in the event of a severely negative balance. If you have trouble paying for school meals, consider applying for free or reduced meals. Our goal is to make sure each child has access to nutritious meals at school, and we attempt to work with each family to ensure this takes place.
