Fruit and Vegetable Program

The Laconia School District is pleased to participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program at all 3 Laconia Elementary Schools. The FFVP is entirely funded by a grant from the Department of Agriculture and administered by the State of New Hampshire. The program provides roughly $50,000 of free, fresh snacks to elementary students annually.
All elementary children will be offered fresh fruits and vegetables at no charge during morning snack or after lunch snack each school day. We offer a variety of items to the students, including many types of apples, clementines, grapes, kiwi, and melons, to name a few. We are working to continually expand the selection of available items, as well as procure more locally grown items in partnership with the New Hampshire Farm to School Program. This is a great opportunity for your elementary age students to get a nutritious snack while enjoying a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
